Code division multiplexing lightwave networks based upon optical code conversion
Lightwave networks realized through code division multiple access techniques are extensively studied to determine their ultimate capabilities. Here, these concepts are extended to network implementation by introducing an optical code division multiplexing (OCDM) multihop strategy using optical coding. It is shown that this approach is effective in scaling up existing wavelength division multipl...

This paper proposes an analytical model for evaluating the performance of dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) for all optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (AO-OFDM) optical wireless channel. The investigated performance for proposed system is evaluated for the parameters bit error rate (BER) and Q factor .The constellation diagrams, and bit error rate (BER) of the recei...

In this paper first we try to analysis the behavior ofthe SOAs in the optical networks and then have proposed anumerical simple model to simulate the behavior of thesemiconductor optical amplifiers. After that by employing thismodel as inline amplifier for a DWDM optical system, we havesimulated the transmission of 10 channels with bit rate 10 Gb/sup to distance 3970 km with RZ-DPSK modulation ...
متن کاملCoded-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing in hybrid optical networks
Future Internet should be able to support a wide range of services containing large amount of multimedia over different network types at a high speed. The future optical networks will therefore be hybrid, composed of different single-mode fibre (SMF), multi-mode fibre (MMF) and free-space optical (FSO) links. In these networks, novel modulation and coding techniques are needed that are capable ...
متن کاملHigh-Speed Adaptive Control Technique Based on Steepest Descent Method for Adaptive Chromatic Dispersion Compensation in Optical Communications
The traffic volume of the data transmission is increasing each year with the explosive growth of the Internet. The networking technologies supporting the data transmission are optical fiber transmission technologies. In the physical layer, the networks are classified into three networks, the long-haul network that connects city to city, the metropolitan area network that connects the central st...
